Counselling in Burford and Online

Welcome, my name is Sue and I would be honoured to support you on your personal journey of growth and self-understanding.

I offer counselling in a calm, confidential therapy room in Burford, Oxfordshire, where you can take time to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive environment. If you would prefer, I also offer online counselling sessions, allowing you to access support from the comfort of your own home.

About Burford Counselling

A safe space to talk, be heard, and find your way forward.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward? You don’t have to face things alone. I offer a safe, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. Feeling heard and truly listened to can help open new perspectives and pathways forward.

My approach is collaborative. Therapy is not about me telling you what to do; it is about us working together to understand what you are experiencing. I work with adults and young people, recognising that reaching out for support or acknowledging something feels wrong can be daunting. Counselling can help you gain a deeper understanding of your emotions and thoughts, empowering you to take back control of your life.

An approach
shaped around you.

I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice and work using a pluralistic approach, which means our sessions are shaped around what works best for you. By drawing on person-centred therapy, psychodynamic insight, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), we can explore your thoughts and feelings while also understanding the patterns and experiences that may influence them. Together, we can develop insight and practical strategies to support change.

Attention

If you feel it may be the right time to explore your thoughts and feelings, I offer a free initial consultation via Zoom or telephone. This is a gentle space to ask questions, understand how therapy works, and see if we’re a good fit.
